Hey All, it’s been busy month, lots of progress has been made. And we are moving right along to having a date to set (but not yet). Rich and Sysreq are driving the dev team to great progress, with some refactoring for effiencies to new commands and features being added in, and by new I mean new to SBE but just adding original features to SBE. We appreciate your patience as this is a large project and far more time heavy than orginally budgeted for.
Highlights:
Tweaks to the QT system: We have been *** changes to the QT system to fine tune sight distance and enabled the ability to see other players on screen.
Buildings are visible: We have now enabled buildings to be visible on game map. Also the commands for staff to enter buildings into the database have been implemented, and the design staff has been working hard to get all the buildings into the game map.
Map Updates: Mines have been entered onto the map, as have TOLs for all the NPC cities
Movement tracking system: The first draft of the server side movement tracking system has been coded. This will allow the server to know where each user is for various items, such as building/player loading, shout, say, etc.
CSR Commands: Some of the CSR commands have been entered in to deal with unruly users
User Commands: /ignore and /social are now implemented, can also submit a CCR petition when having problems
Staffing: Claymore1977 is back ... sort of, he is still swamped but is able to give dev help. What this means is RichV and Sysreq will continue to lead the Development team, with Claymore1977 in the background. We have also added a few more developer initiates to see if we can get them ramped up and the server done with more quality and faster.
Closed and Open Beta: There is still no date set for this, but I see we are closer than ever to it. Please know that there will be a fair and specific selection process for Closed Beta. Once we have nailed that process down we will let you know.
